The Uttar Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (UPERC) has allowed the development and commissioning of a 20 MW floating solar power project at Chilwa Tal in the state’s Gorakhpur district through a cost-plus tariff mechanism and permitted Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation (UPPCL) to procure power for the project.The solar power project is to be established by Coal India (CIL).
