The Sharjah Waste to Energy Facility has processed over 1,000,000 tonnes of waste since its 2022 launch, generating 30MW of low-carbon power and diverting 450,000 tonnes of CO₂ annually. The expansion will double waste processing and power generation capacity, supporting the UAE’s sustainability goals and transitioning to a circular economy.
