The Rajasthan government has directed distribution companies (DISCOMs) to ensure that all single-phase rooftop solar systems are commissioned after conducting proper phase balancing at the distribution transformer level. The government said that allocation of rooftop solar connections must be made on the least-loaded phase, and periodic phase re-shuffling must be carried out. However, it emphasized that DISCOMs must ensure that the phase-balancing work does not delay the commissioning of rooftop solar projects.
