Government-owned oil marketing companies have installed 27,737 electric vehicle public charging stations (EV PCS) across the country between the financial year (FY) 2021 and FY 2026. Additionally, they installed 8,932 EV PCS under the Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Electric Vehicles in India (FAME-II) program, which provides a capital subsidy.
