The Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission has approved a competitively discovered tariff for large-scale battery storage projects, enabling 2,000 MW/4,000 MWh capacity procurement. The tariff is set at Rs. 1,65,998 per MW per month for 15 years, facilitating renewable energy integration and ensuring a stable electricity supply. Viability Gap Funding will support project affordability.
