The Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission (GERC) has notified the Grid Interactive Battery Energy Storage System Regulations, 2026, establishing a framework for the planning, procurement, development, operation, scheduling, and utilization of battery energy storage systems (BESS) across the state.
