The Gujarat government has announced an additional state subsidy for residential consumers installing rooftop solar systems up to 2.18 kW under the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana.Under the new subsidy arrangement, residential consumers belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe categories will have to contribute 5% of the benchmark installation cost, while consumers in other categories will contribute 10%.
