The United Arab Emirates’ renewable energy capacity increased more than 63-fold over the past decade, rising from 129 MW in 2015 to over 8.2 GW in 2025. Clean energy accounted for 32.4% of the country’s electricity generation in 2025, with the UAE targeting a 35% share by 2031. Clean energy generation exceeded 62.4 GWh during the year, while installed clean energy capacity reached 13.8 GW, comprising nuclear, photovoltaic and concentrated solar power, wind, and waste-to-energy projects.
