The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) has introduced a one-time mechanism to address renewable energy projects that secured interstate transmission system connectivity but power purchase agreements (PPA) have not been signed even 12 months after the issuance of the letters of award.The order covers eligible entities that obtained in-principle or final connectivity under LoAs issued by Renewable Energy Implementing Agencies (REIA) between January 1, 2019, and May 31, 2025, for which PPAs remain unsigned.
