The New South Wales Government has launched its largest renewable energy tender, Tender 8, to procure 2.5 gigawatts of renewable capacity, powering one-third of the state’s homes and supporting coal station retirements. It also opened Tender 9 for long-duration storage. Together, these efforts aim for 90 percent of the 12-gigawatt goal by 2030.
