The West Bengal Electricity Regulatory Commission (WBERC) approved CESC Limited’s procurement of 600 MW of wind-solar hybrid power, enhancing its renewable portfolio. Conducted by PFC Consulting, the competitive bidding attracted six companies, resulting in four project allocations with competitive tariffs below CESC’s average costs. Projects will begin within 20 months.
