Coal India Limited has invested ₹961 crore in solar energy projects by January FY2026, exceeding its target by 132%. Solar expenditure has increased 2.33 times year-on-year. CIL aims for 3,000 MW of renewable capacity by FY2028, with ongoing projects and bids for additional solar and battery storage projects.
