Monitor and manage the inventory of solar panels, inverters, batteries, cables, and other related materials.
Implement inventory control procedures to ensure accurate stock levels, minimize stockouts, and prevent overstocking.
Conduct regular stock audits and ensure records are maintained and updated in the system.
Material Procurement Coordination:
Liaise with the procurement team to ensure timely ordering and receipt of goods.
Ensure all incoming materials meet quality standards and are stored correctly.
Warehouse and Storage Operations:
Manage the layout of the warehouse for optimal space utilization and material handling.
Ensure proper labeling, categorization, and placement of materials for easy identification and access.
Oversee the loading and unloading of materials and ensure safety compliance in storage practices.
Team Supervision and Training:
Lead and supervise the store team (storekeepers, material handlers, etc.) in day-to-day operations.
Provide guidance and training on inventory management, safety standards, and operational processes.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing materials.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on stock levels, consumption rates, and any discrepancies.
Vendor and Supplier Management:
Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
Monitor vendor performance and resolve any issues related to material supply.
Logistics Coordination:
Coordinate with the logistics team to manage the movement of goods from the warehouse to various project sites.
Ensure that material is dispatched on time and in accordance with project schedules.
Health and Safety Compliance:
Ensure that all store operations comply with safety regulations, including the safe handling and storage of materials.
Conduct safety audits and enforce policies to minimize accidents and ensure the well-being of staff.
System Management:
Use inventory management software or ERP systems to track and manage stock levels.
Ensure proper data entry and timely updates to the system for accurate reporting.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify areas for process improvements in store management and implement strategies for more efficient operations.
Stay updated on best practices in inventory management and apply them to the solar industry context.
Desired Qualification
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A diploma in logistics or inventory management is a plus.
Experience:
3-5 years of experience in store or warehouse management, preferably in the renewable energy or solar sector.
Experience with inventory management software or ERP systems.
